With the majority of medication contained in one compact unit, storage is easy. Using the system will also significantly reduce the time taken for administering the medication and for stock checks. It can hold up to 7 days worth of medication for up to 6 doses per day. The combination of insert tray and seal protects the medication by greatly reducing moisture permeability. The Cassette is supplied by the pharmacist to the care home with clear and precise details of all medication contained within. Details are also provided for those items not included such as drops and creams.

The Medichart lid is supplied as an optional extra for the Cassette. This can be used to secure the weekly Medication Administration Record Sheet (MARS) with the Cassette, eliminating the need to carry additional patient medication files during the medication round. The Medichart also enables the MARS to be signed at the exact time that the medication is administered, reducing the chance of errors. The Nomad® system can be easily rendered tamper evident depending on the needs of the care home. A community version of the Cassette is also available and by using a Carripak the pharmacist is able to provide the patient with up to 28 days worth of medication.

The Duo Disposable is a compact disposable version of the Cassette designed for use by patients on weekend breaks away from the care home and those who have less complicated medication regimes. It can also be used to hold Temazepam and other medication in the controlled drug cabinet.
